Purpose The Purpose of this report is to identify possible investment opportunities for Wells Fargo, to give an analysis report of the financial data, and other types of information and recommendations. This report shows the analysis of Wells Fargo's exposure to various sub-sectors and other financial information that helps the company grow as a whole. The reason we chose Wells Fargo was because of its rapid growth in the community and its overall perseverance since 1918 when Wells Fargo was just left with one bank in San Francisco when the Federal Government took over the nations express network.

In the commercial banking segment, Wells Fargo has over 2,000 stand-alone mortgage branches throughout the country and also has many mini branches that are located inside grocery stores that offer basic teller services and ATMs. Wells Fargo services in over 1.8 trillion in home mortgages which is the second servicing portfolio in the U.S. Wells Fargo also offers student loans to college students. In their wholesale banking, they have products that are sold to large and small commercial companies. This includes lending, treasury management, mutual funds, asset-based lending, commercial real estate, corporate and institutional trust services, and capital market and investment banking through Wells Fargo Securities. The most profitable being asset-based lending. In the Wealth and Investment Management segment, Wells Fargo offers investment opportunities through their subsidiaries, Wells Fargo Investments, LLC and Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC as well as through national broker/dealer firms. Mutual funds are offered under the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds brand name. Wells Fargo Advisors is the brokerage subsidiary of Wells Fargo located in St. Louis, Missouri and is the third largest Brokerage firm in the U.S... Wells Fargo Securities is the investment banking division of Wells Fargo and generates between three and four billion per year in revenue.
