As someone who has received five Young Artist Award nominations in his early career as an actor, Aubrey Drake Graham has definitely made something of himself. From Canada to the United States, Drake soon began to gain popularity through his acting career by playing in the Canadian show “Degrassi: The Next Generation” back in 2001. Seven years later, he started to make his own mixtapes and music and began to rise in the music industry. As Drake had stated in an interview he had with Biography.com, he talks about how he began his acting career. He says, “There was a kid in my class whose father was an agent. His dad would say ‘If there’s anyone in the class that makes you laugh, have them audition for me.’ After the audition he became my agent”. Soon after this, Drake got a role to be in Degrassi.
