Are you ready to experience Jimi Hendrix? Recognized as the single most famous to ever come up from the Pacific Northwest’s music scene. Jimi came from very humble beginnings, but he made himself be known as arguably the most gifted and inventive guitarist of all time. He would be recognized around the world as a major force in the twentieth century music industry. I will inform you on how Jimi began his music career, how he elevated himself to the top of the Rock n’ Roll charts, and his downfall from it all.

Jimi then got around LIttle Richard and joined together and toured around, even recorded some music together. It wasn’t until 1965 when Jimi started becoming big in the music industry. Around that time he formed the band Jimmy James and the Blue Flames and he performed around village coffee houses and nightclubs. Some months went by and his reputation as a phenomenal guitarist began to come into light. Jimi had caught the eye of Linda Keith, which was the girlfriend of the rockstar Keith Richards. She spread his name around for him to British rockstars and before you know it Chas Chandler liked Jimi’s potential and convinced him to fly out to London with him. In London Chas Chandler quit the band The Animals and focused on managing JImi’s music career. This is where they formed the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Rock n’ Roll was changed so much by Jimi’s out of the box guitar skills and really impressive song writing. The opening single for Jimi, “Hey Joe”, was a quick classic hit followed up by another great hit, “Purple Haze” and the album Are You Experienced. In June 1967 the Jimi Hendrix Experience was booked to perform at the highly publicized Monterey International Pops Festival. It was there that there music and Jimi’s show on stage sent them up to the top of the pop charts. The year 1968 saw two more album releases Axis: Bold as love, and Electric Ladyland.
