Josephine Baker was born June 3, 1906 in St. Louis Missouri and died April 12, 1975 in Paris France. Josephine Baker was a singer, civil rights Activist, Dancer. As she got old she went by the nickname Black Venus, Black Pearl, and Creole Goddess. Her life was filled with, broadway productions, marriage life, racism, traveling, and civil rights movements. She had to face all those different things in her life, but she focused on her dance career more than anything. Josephine Baker made alot of accomplishments in life that most people wouldnt be able to do. She had a long life journey and did all the things she wanted to do and succeeded while she did all the things she did. Josephine Baker performed in every country or state she went to. She lived in france and thats where she performed on her broadway production. Josephine Bake also traveled to the United States and performed a comedic skit. Her career was centered primarily in Europe. She was one of Europes most popular dancer and everybody liked he dancing and the way she danced. She was one of the highest paid performers. She really like dancing and continues dancing to persue her dreams as a dancer. Josephine Baker was apart of the civil war movement. Josephine Baker lead the civil rights movement and demonstrated and boycotting segregated clubs and concert venus. In 1963 Baker participated with Martin Luther King Jr. in the march on washington and was in the speaking that day. In 1973 Baker performed in New York and had a standing ovation as she was entering honoring her civil rights advocate.
