Lately, I feel Napoleon has brought many positive changes to society but few have greatly impacted the peasants. Though in recent events, Napoleon has signed the concordat which is an agreement which establishes a relationship between church and state. Many people think that what Napoleon did was for power, but I think it was obviously for the people to have another freedom. Church is like our second home where we can have freedom to pray and always feel welcome. Now that this is connected with the state it makes religion influence government which provides more social stability. I as a peasant feel absolutely he needs to make a change and without some changes many will end up with no religious tolerance. Can we the people not see how much suffering is going on around us. Well this is our first step to happiness we the peasants need to take a stand in this situation. Recently, I spoke with a clergy member and he really wants some change in society. So finally he made a change and it is absolutely great because now church and state are connected with each other. The concordant states that religion will connect church and state together and this has really increased many people's appreciation for church. Finally after I think that at least we can have religious freedom and that is quite great. At least religion is free and important because with this our morals can be valued. Clearly Napoleon is actually giving us some respect because I want to raise my children with great values and I want them to know god will always be with them.For example, I saw a child the other day and I ask what was wrong and he said I am so tired and I just want some break.
