The culture of Hip Hop is dominant amongst African American and Latino cultures, mostly hailing from poor rural areas. DJ Herc was the first major Hip Hop Dj, developing the style or the blueprint of Hip Hop. By the age of 18, DJ Herc, ‘ introduced huge sound systems of his native Jamaica to inner city parties. Grand Wizard Theodore, Afrika Bambaataa, and Grandmaster Flash are some that are credited as pioneers of Hip Hop, they introduced the isolations/ extenstion of the break beat. Style played a huge role within their success, Big Boi has the persona of the street while Andre represented more of the playboy. Sound was another way the duo separated themselves from their competition and peers. Organized Noise was the production team mostly responsible for a lot of Outkasts hits, they made their own beasts through the user of live instrumentation, venturing in the realms of soul and funk, gospel, P- Funk, electronica, and drum and bass.
