There are many jobs in the workforce that include the use of trigonometry. Two of these jobs include Assistant Nurse Managers and Civil Engineers. Both of these jobs are very important in the world that we live in today. Assistant Nurse Managers are important because they are, “responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of nursing personnel during the evening (PM) shift to maintain continuity for twenty-four hour nursing care” ("Assistant Nurse Manager (RN), 2nd Shift"). Civil Engineers are important because they are the ones who are in charge of designing and building structures for us to use everyday. Civil Engineers also use this type of math on the daily. “Engineers must have an understanding of angles and planes, as this is one of the most common applications in their job” ("How do engineers use trigonometry"). This use of math is very important for them to know how to do, because it is what their job consists of. They have to be able to use and understand mathematical equations and know how to break them apart and form them. One of the most important pieces of math that they do is working with the planes. “civil engineers make use of the mathematical understanding of planes to break down curvatures, patterns or electrical fields into mathematical terms” ("How do engineers use trigonometry"). Civil Engineers will usually work inside in their office, but sometimes they will be called to work outside.
