1. Briefly describe the leadership experiences that you have had in 4-H program and through other organizations/school.
In my 4-H story I address the leadership experience I've had in 4H and school. Through my own 4-H club I've been able to be a mentor and leader to the younger kids. I help my 4-H leader lead activities and events during our meetings. Over the summer I also teach kids about goats and help them train and show them. From the leadership skills given to me by 4-H I am able to be a leader in other communities as well. At my school, I am in charge of a sign language club I started and on the board of two other student organizations. I was able to fill these leadership roles at my school because of 4-H’s impact on my life. Soon, I hope to use the leadership skills 4-H has taught me to fill the role of a senior at my school as well as be a leader in my community at college in two years.

I believe this because we use communication skills to communicate. Without them it is difficult to have our voice heard and share our views. From my own experience I know that my ability to speak in public has helped me in life tremendously. I'm not afraid to get up in front of an audience and make a speech, nor am I afraid to give a presentation in school. I am not afraid to use my voice because I've developed my communication skills.
