In the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, the main character Hamlet faces obstacles within himself and society. King Hamlet, Hamlet's father, died (killed by his brother King Claudius). Within a month after King Hamlet's death the widow, Queen Gertrude, marries the King Hamlet's brother, King Claudius. Hamlet becomes furious over the events and over the time becomes depressed. That is until the spirit of his dead father comes and tells him to seek revenge for his death. To revenge the death of his father, Hamlet plays innocent and in a way insane.
