This dog has lots of energy, if you are looking for a running partner, this dog would be a good choice. It needs to go on a run at least once or twice a day and no 20 minute run is long enough or far enough for it. It needs to go on a 2 mile run (one way) every day. So if you have to time for this and need some encouragement to get outside more often then this would be a good dog for you. These dogs are great guard dogs because they are very territorial and they are very protective of their owners, but more so one person over the others, usually the one who spends the most time with it. They have an endless supply of energy and they can easily keep up with you as you run. Also they like to get out and run so it's not like you will have to drag the dog out of the house just to have it go on a walk with you. Some cons are that they don't make very good apartment dogs for the city, while they can compromise and put up with it, but it isn’t the best choice. They are more of a country dog where it has all the room it could ever wish for to run around.
Some pros are that they are energetic and like to stay active and it is a good guard dog by nature
Some cons are that if they don’t get a lot of exercise and burn off all of their energy then they become bored and develop behavioral problems if it continues to happen and that's when they become aggressive
Some pros of them being territorial is that they will let you know if somebody is on your land
Some cons of them being territorial is that they might think that your friends are strangers and go after them
They are good running dogs and will run by your side the whole way
If they don't get exercise they will develop behavioral
