Mitsubishi vs. Subaru I am a huge car guy. Ive always been fascinated with the way cars have looked and performed in everyday life and on the track. This means I love driving fast and having a lot of fun. My current car is a 2006 Ford Fusion, which isn't fast nor fun to drive. Ive been looking around for other cars to possibly buy in the next coming years so that I can enjoy driving while being safe. Japanese cars have always been notorious for this type of driving and this is why I want one! Over my time looking around Ive narrowed the search down to two cars. The Subaru WRX STI, and the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO. Both of these cars are very similar, yet very different. I want both but I have to look at the pros and cons of each car so that I can decide which one is right for me. The factors that are going into my decision are performance, safety, and reliability. Both cars are incredible when it comes to performance. The Mitshisbishi EVO has a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that produces 286 hp. It has stiff springs which produces amazing cornering speeds and driving mechanics on the track, but this causes a very bumpy and uncomfortable ride in everyday use. Throughout the years Subaru has been at the top of the charts when it comes to safety. They spend millions of dollars on safety research every year to improve anything they can so that their cars are the safest they can be, and it shows! They always emphasize this in their commercials. Mitsubishi on the other hand isn’t as great in this category. They have average safety which isn't bad in this day and age but sitting behind the wheel of car that I know for a fact will protect me in the best way possible increases my confidence in that car
