Plastic surgery has becoming a phenomena for people around the world especially woman in today’s world in order to enhance their beauty so that they can be more accepted by society. It pressures people to improve their outward appearance because society has always valued beauty as a leading role of defining beauty. Everyone knows that plastic surgery is not a low-cost procedure and it is usually not covered by medical insurance policies unless it is a reconstructive purpose in order to correct defects on the body or faces due to accidents. Yet, according to Barbosa, people still having plastic surgeries each and each year even there are additional costs on it whereby the bill can be total up to 50% to 100% higher than the surgeon's fees (2012). This clearly shows that people will still choose for the expensive procedure even though it is super expensive as plastic surgeries has becoming a trend in today’s society without thinking the long-term effects of the surgery.
