Historically, in spite of their differences, emperor Qin and Augustus also have many important similar qualities apart from the accomplishment of grand achievements. One key feature emperor Qin and Augustus have in common is their exceptional intelligence in military. Emperor Qin extended the boundaries of his land from a small state to a whole unified China. State Qin was not as powerful as Chu, not as prosperous as Qi, nor as full of talents as Zhao. However, Emperor Qin designed a disciplined and refined troops that had unique military tactics and formation, strong determination and followed strict rules; therefore, he conquered all of the central plains and greatly expanded the territory that was almost six times as much as the land before …show more content…

For example, they understood arrow dynamics that their arrows had three faces which let it shoot much further since there are less resistance and it caused more harm. It could damage city walls and destroyed the buildings from a very far distance. The military also devised a mechanism called Corvus which was a boarding bridge that could be raised from twelve feet high wood pillar and rotated in any direction.
