The source mentions how Castro reintroduced moral incentives in order to repair the weakened economy and raise productivity. Castro introduced bonuses, salary increases and luxuries. These rewards introduced by Castro led to increased productivity and more conformity among Cuban society. They, therefore, benefited the country in the sense that more productivity would mean a better economy and more income. There would also be from a social standpoint less unemployment and therefore less unrest amongst the people. The source, however, does explore that
