Health care is an important resource for Americans to have. It provides numerous benefits that we need; however, there are some issues that come along with it. Today, three major issues with healthcare are affordability, portability, and quality of results. To begin, a large portion of Americans struggle financially which makes affording healthcare quite difficult. A vast majority of the people who do not have health care are people who work but still do not make enough to afford it. Depending on the insurance plan, some may cost more than others; however, overall the price is still expensive for the budget of most. Research conducted by Kaiser Family Foundation shows that health care and health insurance prices are increasing faster than wages and inflation. This just shows how large of an issue the affordability of health care is which in turn, scares countless Americans. Some employers provide health care or at least cover a percentage of it (Health). Other countries do not have as many administrators which costs them less. This is problematic because it seems like something that could easily be controlled. Drugs also cost more due to the price of production being larger in U.S. The manufacturing of products may be cheaper in some areas than others. Another reason is that Americans have more access to health care services than most. Operations are more likely to occur here than elsewhere. This is because it is more available as a first resort to a problem. In other areas, they may seek alternative methods first
