Heather Franklin and her husband, Ernest Franklin II brought a child into their lives in 2012. The couple opened their hearts and home to Jeffrey Franklin when they adopted him. Jeffrey was a deaf, special needs child that now had a home. Now, the New York couple are facing charges for murdering their child. The 16-year-old was killed in a fire at the family's home, but Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride claimed the parents, not the fire, is really what caused Jeffrey's death according to WBNG. Heather and Ernest were each charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and arson after Jeffrey was found dead in the family home after a fire tore through it.
