Ambiguity, what does it mean? am·bi·gu·i·tyˌambəˈɡyo͞owədē/ noun uncertainty or inexactness of meaning in language. image Example: gender ambigious person. We understand its meaning, its definition. but rarely do we understand it from experience. For me one of the most significant changes was in my face, after only a few months there was a noticeable feminization of my face. Now this obviously at first was such a great thing for me but eventually I realised it was working as a double edged sword. My experience: In public people would/ hesitate before talking to me as if unsure which pronoun to use. In one instance, I'll never forget, actually happened a couple days ago, was during a day out shopping for new clothes. I was called forward and a lady at the till called me miss, which I loved, but then corrected herself 3 times from Sir to miss. I eventually corrected her and told her I was a girl. she continued very apologetically but one thing she said really stuck with me “I'm so sorry I just didn't know if you are you a boy or a girl” There have been many times I've been misgendered, but this was one of the first time someone was unable to gender me. Because misgendering is so common I've come to learn how to live with. but recently, I have been kinda stuck between genders. It has given me a unique insight into what it is to be a non-binary person. image Ruby rose: example of a Non binary conforming
