I believe that at the end of the story, "Click Clack the Rattle Bag" by Neil Gaiman, the narrator of the story, is killed by the young boy, who is a Click-Clack. This is because in the passage, it says, "'Click-Clacks drink you,' said the boy. 'First they bite you, and then you go all ishy inside, and all your meat and all your brains and everything except your bones and your skin turns into a wet, milk-shakey stuff and then the Click-Clack sucks it out through the holes where your eyes used to be.'" This is one example of the boy's detailed account of how Click-Clacks kill their victims. This is quite eerie as the boy knows a lot about Click-Clacks. This is also offsetting as the boy claims he didn't create the story and asks the narrator to question the rest of the story - as if foreshadowing the end of the narrator's fate in a twisted way. Another reason I believe the young boy is a Click-Clack is because of his strange confidence and control over the situation. In the text, it says, "I [the narrator] would have pulled away, then, if I could, but small, firm fingers pulled me forward, unrelentingly, into the dark." The narrator saying he wanted to 'pull away' or leave the young boy and the attic - indicating the narrator is aware something isn't right and is attempting to leave. He then continues to say how the young boy confidently - with no hesitation and full awareness - takes them both into the dark attic with the strange sounds, which can indicate the boy is causing the unease, due to being so calm despite the narrator's apprehension.
