In this writing assignment I will explain why ethics and integrity are important to all law enforcement officers. And determine how ethics, morality, and law differ in regards to affecting the decisions of law enforcement. These standards set the stage for law enforcement in the performance of their duties. First, we will discuss ethics; it is defined as the study of morality, norms of conduct which separate the difference between acceptable and improper actions.

I am fourteen years old and I have seen many movies, and read some books, and seen people on the news doing many wrong things then many people follow.
The word integrity has a meaning that says honesty, strong moral principles. The word academic meaning education. Just putting the two words together means values and standards that are honest. This is what we as students, professionals, and people of substance must be always. We are living in a world where there are so many modern technological advances in machinery, computers, etc.

To me ethics and integrity are qualities that are the fundamental to any profession, and the key to living a fulfilling life. I hope to one day have career in the field of medicine, as a Physical Therapist.
1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
1. I think it’s more natural for people to have integrity because you feel guilty when you do disintegral things, but kids need to learn. For example, kids don’t really understand what stealing is, if they see something cool, then they take it. But if they learn that taking something without permission is wrong, they will stop. The environment people live in causes them to have or lose integrity.
Integrity is a term used to describe a person 's level of honesty, moral commitments, and willingness to do what 's right. Choosing what is right over what is fun, fast or easy, and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them. Given the real definition of integrity, we recognize that it is actually extremely difficult to be in integrity 100% of the time. We aspire to be in integrity with what we believe but sometimes, we mess up. Sometimes, our emotions get the best of us and we are unable to manage our behavior and actions.
Integrity means to be honest and carry strong morals and principles. Having integrity shows in people character, its something everyone should pride themselves on. It's important to have integrity in your academic and professional life for many reasons. You would want your instructor or employer to feel that they can entrust you to carry out any assignment. An employer may look at you and see that you are the type of person who has morals and will do what is right for a company hopefully advancing you.
Integrity Integrity seeps its way into all facets of daily life. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines integrity as the firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values; however, in my life, it has a different meaning. To me, integrity is overall honesty and truthfulness. It is obeying your parents or teachers because it is the right thing to do, not for fear of punishment. It is doing the right thing, but being truthful when you do the wrong thing.
For me it is a way of life integrity will make you do things that you thought you would never do like confessing to something you did when you had got away with. If you have integrity i will make you discipline because you won 't do wrong, which lead to you having respect because its all in your morals. Integrity will make you learn how to persevere
Honestly, integrity and hard work perhaps the most important traits I value, and it’s a very handy tool to have on your journey through adulthood and beyond. Born and raise in a small and border town which no one has ever heard before and could care less about it unless if you like to gamble. However, it wasn't all that bad. In a simpler time, which I miss so much when there were less technology and more of an outdoors and family oriented kind of life. A time where all you needed was honesty, integrity and hard work and your set for life, but those times have passed.
The fourth area of the Code of Conduct is Academic Integrity. This is important because it verifies that each student achieves the most out of their education. Each student has the right to interchange ideas with their professors and their classmates but must also understand academic integrity. I believe in order for you to be a good leader you must learn and understand how to be a good communicator. How you communicate to your workforce, peers, and stakeholders are all very different. You will not use the same approach with everyone, but you may try to send the same message and in that case you would need to use different skills. This is no different when you’re dealing with conflicts, or dealing with people who are not agreeing with your point of view. This can cause us to take on different types of egos.
