What Does Obedient Mean

“Jesus is both adient and obedient” the Holy Spirit uttered one peaceful night. Awestruck by how brilliant our Advocate is; in two simple yet profound words, He bragged about the awesomeness of Jesus. Moreover, that night, a bible passage was presented but I couldn’t remember specifically which book I was reading, or maybe it was purposely left hidden that I may seek His word and apply my faith. John 5:19-20
“19So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. 20For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing.””

John 6:38-39

Two familiar words birthed my language of receiving through dreams. I’m a Christian then, but the pursuit of intimacy was beyond my grasp and perception. Nevertheless, our gracious Lord gave me a vision of my calling but specifics remained unclear. While writing this story, I understood something about why God gave those two specific words (obedience, glory). By faith, I believe that God desires to deepen my understanding of whom Jesus is that I may know who I am. The obedience of Jesus is to the glory of the Father and my obedience to Jesus is all glory to Him too. As I saturate myself deep into His word (Bible) and as His Spirit within reveals understanding, I have learned a valuable lesson of sufficiency – JESUS IS SUFFICIENT. With my eyes fixed on Jesus alone, I will accept, depend and submit my will to God. That’s how Jesus did it. This is how I should do
