The third part of the story is all about hunting. However there is two types of hunting that is happening in this section of the book. The lord of the land has left his home with one hundred of his men, to go hunting for deer. While at the same time the lord’s wife is hunting Sir Gawain in bed. Both the lord and his wife are noisy hunters. “At the clamor of the quest, the quarry trembled; Deer dashed through the dale, dazed with dread” (Pg.31, lines 1150-1151). The deer are being driven by the lord who uses his men to make noise, so that the deer flee from the danger in the direction of their trap.
