The book The Great Gatsby is a book run off of symbols. At different points in the book a symbols are thrown into show and explain more than what is given. The Great Gatsby is a book written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1925. The book was mainly about a very wealthy man named Jay Gatsby, he has a nice house and would throw big parties for everyone to attend especially Daisy. Gatsby is in love with a girl named Daisy. Later in the book Daisy is driving home with Gatsby in his car and she runs over Wilson's wife Myrtle. Because Gatsby loves Daisy so much, he switched seats with her so he could take the blame for the accident. When Gatsby is in his pool, Wilson walks over to him and kills him, and then Wilson kills himself. Throughout the book different symbols are added to show Gatsby’s feelings towards Daisy. At first all you can see is the rain but in the distance you can see bring pink clouds and he hopes that same thing will happen with him and Daisy. Because Gatsby is really in love with her, he hopes that their relationship will turn good and will happen. By explaining how it was still raining it shows that the way their relationship was going at that point wasn't exactly what he wanted but when he see the pink and golden billow of foamy clouds above the sea, he wants that to be his relationship. Gatsby automatically relates the weather to
