For my unit one assignment I choose option B. Firstly, I choose one of the options in the writing task section because I know I can do better in writing assignments. Rather than writing newspaper articles, I felt writing a series of letters would be more interesting since you can express the different relationship, characteristics, emotions and situations with it. What inspired me to write letters is the fact that in a letter you can freely express your opinion and the situations facts in a casual manner since a letter is always written in a first-person perspective. During class we learned about men's life in trenches, it is devastating how they have to live in those dirty and muddy trenches for days. Also how they are exposed to things, such as head lice and many diseases such as trench foot. One thing would be the wartime election act. World war one was the reason the wartime elections act was introduced. This act started the spark to women having their rights as of now. Another thing that I learned was about the woman who worked at the munitions factory at that time. There were dangerous working conditions, woman's skin used to get burned, it is bitterly cold there. To add, women had to work longer hours and pay wages were very low.
