The store is managed by Rick Chicken a butcher with 20 years experiences in the chicken business and an experiment retail food service manager

The Australian Chicken Meat Federation (ACMF) is the coordinating body for businesses in the chicken meat industry in Australia and is the industry representative by the Australian Government. Chicken meat is consumed by 90% of Australia at least once a week and 33% consuming it three or more times a week.

It is an ideal source of protein and is lower in calories, fats and saturated fats than most other meats. It is easy to prepare and can be cooked in many different ways and is the most affordable meat source. Chicken contains nutrients such as iron, zinc, magnesium, phosphorous, riboflavin, thamin and niacin. To reduce fat to chicken, remove skin and use cooking methods such as stir-frying, grilling and broiling. The chicken used at Tony’s Tasty Tenders are barn-raised, hormone free and steroid free.
The chicken meat industry recognises the value of research, development and therefore a corporation called the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC) allocates millions of dollars in research funding each year. The goals for RIRDC are: productivity, food safety, animal health and welfare, addressing environment change, market research and collaboration with other bodies.
