What really happened the night Homer disappeared? This is a question going all around the old southern town. The question had been asked about so much, so the case was taken to court.

In the court room, in walked a judge, the jury, and random townsfolk who had been questioning the case. As they all sat down, Emily was asked many questions. “Was there a distinct smell coming from your house?” asked the judge. “Not that I know of.” claimed Emily.

Everyone in town had smelled it. The smell was so repulsive, lime was sprinkled on the foundation of her home in an attempt to mask the smell. Many people believed it was the smell of death, a smell like the town had never smelled before.

It was like she had suddenly become diffifent. She had no clue if she should tell the truth or not. She didn’t want to upset her father by lying, but she knew he wouldn’t know because he was dead. She thought to herself, “Do I do this to myself?”. Emily was put into a situation and had no way to get out but to tell the truth.

The judge said “Ms. Emily, is there something wrong or something I should know about?” “Uhh...uhh..uhh...no sir.” Emily said hestantly. Her face became more red and she had no clue what to do. She saw noting but the exit sign above the door. She scurried out of the door. When she thought she had escaped, she turned around to see her fellow townsfolk had chased her. She began to run faster until she got home. Everyone followed her. They even followed her into her house. As they all walked in, they were put into sudden shock.
