Hale looks at this as a slight confession, which makes him think he is heading in the right direction. He then turns his attention towards Tituba and repeatedly asks her questions until she has no choice but to confess to working for the Devil. Instead of looking at all the evidence, Hale continues to make conclusions so he can prove his expertise in Demonic Arts. Wanting answers, Hale simply asks, “Who came to you with the Devil?” (Miller 1262).
Hale acknowledges human’s mortality more so than Danforth who believes his word is the final say. Furthermore, Judge Danforth appears to only be concerned with having those who were jailed, confess to being witches whether they were or not. All those who do not confess to conspiring with the devil in his eyes are evil and those “who weep for [them, therefore] weep for corruption” (134). In contrast, Hale is desperate to save the innocent from their inevitable doom because he believes “life is God’s most precious gift” and “no principle [] may justify taking it” (122). He even encourages Elizabeth Proctor to “prevail upon [her] husband to confess” because “God damns a liar less than he that throws his life away for pride” (122).
Hale is a man that is lead by his faith and goodwill; with a goal to get down to the bottom of what is really occurring in these so called “witch” cases. Hale is very diverse than most characters because while he is trying to punish the witches he only punishes the ones that he can prove. His strong character is truly shown when he had to overcome Abigail’s manipulation. Throughout this story the true colors begin to show and shine through the characters.
In The Crucible there are many noble characters like Giles Corey and John Proctor, but there is one character that stands out from the rest. That man is Reverend John Hale. Hale is one of the most noble and most dynamic characters in the play. Hale goes from being a reverend just doing his job(ego) to a man that helps and defends those accused for the greater good(superego).
Rev. John Hale, the protagonist of Arthur Miller's The Crucible, starts out as an expert witch hunter that soon turns his back to the church in order to save the lives of others. Rev. Hale develops the theme of integrity because he fights for justice and quits the court to defend innocent villagers. He turns away from the accusations of the church to do what he believes is intended under God’s duty. What he does not realize is that his decision to lie would only reinforce the slanders the court has already committed. There would be no proof left.
Furthermore, Reverend Hale assigns himself to preserving innocent lives. He councils the convicts, begging them to confess to witchcraft. Although the confessions are lies, Hale knows these people’s innocence is true. Ironically, lying is the only option to save truly faultless lives. Hale’s need to preserve the truth uncovers why he attempts to save these lives.
Often times, literary works can easily distinguish between a good character or an evil character. Other times, a character can be very complex, which makes it difficult to characterize the character as good or evil. This complex character complex is known as Moral Ambiguity. In other words, readers are discouraged from identifying a character as purely good or evil. One particular character that can be views as morally ambiguous is a woman named Edna Pontellier.
Writers often have mistakenly written essay or article in a bias point of view, which leads to the loss in credibility of their work. A common mistake that writers make is the use of first person. Once the first person point of view is brought into a piece of written work, the credibility of the work drop dramatically, and writers also often get drift off to sharing their personal experience and opinion on the topic. However, it is acceptable when professional writers use first person point of view if necessary when it comes to giving a professional statement or advice, because readers expect professional writers to be an expert on the topic they are discussing on without introducing personal bias. Others may say that society does not have the power to erase one 's humanity. Because there will always people who don 't believe in what others are doing. “...as the villagers moved on her. “It isn 't far.” she said.

This is significant because the antagonist drives events which create the plot and the story. During the story, there is a mysterious guy named Louise. He seems mysterious and tries using the kids for their money, even though he knows he could get in big trouble.
This statement, to my shock, clarifies that the purpose of the work was not to tell the story but depict a scene in a story. Although the initial purpose wasn’t to be directly religious, this piece is still considered a religious artifact in the present. The piece if not only valuable to religious people. The Last Supper is culturally viewed as a very valuable historical artifact. Da Vinci’s most recently sold piece
