The first reason/cause is “Mutual Defense Alliance” - Over the time countries throughout Europe made mutual defense agreements that would pull them into battle. Simply it is nothing but if one country was attacked ultimately the allied countries were being bounded to defend them. Before the World War I Russia &Serbia, Germany & Austria, Japan & Britain, France &Russia were the only alliances that existed.
Queen Anne’s war was basically the introduction of King William's War. To sum it up, “King James II deceased in France in September, 1701. He had been secured by Louis XIV after his flight from his throne to France and now the French monarch acknowledged James' son, James Francis Edward, to be the lawful king of England. This act offended the English because the crown had been settled upon Anne, James' second and Protestant daughter. Louis like-wise offended the English by placing his grandson, Philip of Anjou, on the throne of Spain, so increasing French influence among the dynasties of Europe.

The indians looked upon the British with concern because the British thought they were better than the indians. The British also gave white people land that the indians owned. The indian groups that in the battle were the Ottawa, Chippewa, Potawatomi, Huron, Delaware, Shawnee, Mingo, Miami, Kickapoo, Mascoten, and Piankashaw.

There was also the Triple Entente, an alliance between France, Great Britain and Russia. Alliances helped cause the war because nations would be against each other and they would also want to be dominant. Although there were many reasons that caused World War I, Militarism, Imperialism, and Allies were the main factors.

Spreading across and involving three continents which included much of Europe, the Caribbean and India. The war was sparked by a clash between the English and French over colonial territory and wealth. “The land- variously claimed by Virginians, Pennsylvanians and the French-was actually inhabited by more than a dozen Indian tribes.” (pg 130)
The English colonists between the time period of 1744 and 1748 were involved in clashes with the French known as King George 's War. In the time following King George 's War the affiliation between the English, French, and Iroquois shattered. After King George 's War, the Iroquois handed out trading concessions in the interior to English merchants which caused the French to have some concern. The French had believed that the English were going to use the concessions as a part of their plan to expand into their territories. In response to this, the French began to build fortresses in the Ohio Valley in which the English thought was a hazard to them and planned for military action.
WWI (1914-1918) was a disastrous conflict between two sides - the Allied Powers and the Central Powers. It resulted in the victory of the Allies. There were plenty of Central Powers weaknesses, the Schlieffen plan, weak allies of Germany and their hard economic situation at the end of the WWI. However, it was not only due to these weaknesses, Allied Powers had a few strengths, that made them won. The most important of these are : greater army, control of the sea and support of the USA since 1917, while Germany was already running out of supplies and soldiers.

It was given the name Seven Years War because it was not officially considered a war until the year 1756, however it is agreed today that the war really lasted nine years. The Peace of Paris was signed in 1763 between Britain and France who was allied with Spain. Britain gained territories in America and India. Spain too gained in the war. (see Chapter 19) Prussia and Austria signed the Treaty of Hubertsburg in 1763.

When she was about thirteen years old, she had to live in hiding because all Jews were being murdered. The holocaust was a very dark time, so Anne had to live in the annex until the war was over.
