Ray Bradbury is the author of the popular and controversial book, Fahrenheit 451. He is also known for the stories The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and There Will Come Soft Rains. Bradbury was born 1920 and died at age 91, in 2012. An interesting fact about him is that he “was descended from Mary Bradbury, who was tried at one of the Salem witch trials in 1692 (“Ray Bradbury” 1). That makes me wonder if that had any influence on his writing. I also wonder when he found that out. Depending on the age he found out, the more likelihood of that knowledge influencing some aspects of his stories.
