What Is Teacher Tenure Good Or Bad?

Teacher tenure is not an effective policy owing to the fact that its evaluation system and how difficult it is to remove a poorly performed teacher.

Teacher tenure is easily given to a teacher by working in the same district for a certain amount of years, but it takes an extent more to actually fire a teacher for not doing their job. According to the article, “ Protecting Bad Teachers“ the main reason for tenure laws is to help careless teachers keep their jobs.

Not everyone is fit to become a teacher, but being able to earn the teacher tenure policy is so easy and effortless, people can become teachers and receive the policy after working at the same school for multiple years.
Just because one teacher’s evaluation is below average than another teacher’s evaluation, that doesn’t mean that teacher will gain tenure, they will both get tenure.

School’s are afraid that if they remove the teacher tenure policy it will take the attraction away from teaching and there won't be anyone wanting to become a teacher. If all teachers actually dedicated themselves into teaching students better education, rates of high school students going straight to college and getting quality grades would improve.

Teachers do not want the tenure policy, since how defective, poorly performed teachers have disgraced its reputation.
