In the film "The Inconvenient Truth", former presidential candidate, Al Gore describes how the economy is viewed as more important than the environment, what fossil fuels are and it's impact on the environment, and why citizens aren't aware or disturbed by the troubling issue. The creators of the film attempt to appeal to the audiences sympathy emotion in order to draw them into the film and possibly inform their peers about the environmental issues that Earth is being faced with as well as take a stand in order to protect the environment from further damage.

All good mentioned that fossil fuels are derived from coal, oil and, natural gases. The findings aren't proven but do show a proportion between temperature and C02 levels. However when fossil fuels are released into the air it causes the atmosphere to thicken resulting in the heat to stay in the air rather than repelling off of Earth's surface. Next, temperature begins to rise and if the atmosphere continues to thicken the temperature will and glaciers will begin to melt and sea levels will rise. This will ultimately result in coastal areas of countries and islands to be under water. With the high level of fossil fuels being released on a daily basis these affects may began withing decades . The film also mentions the options there are to avoid and reduce fossil fuel emmisions. However, the other options aren't not be economically beneficial but more so a burden and do not guarantee results. The film mentioned large industries that have labs where scientist test, research, and verify the safety of their product(s). Usually when the scientists find something wrong with the item(such as toxic, choking hazard, or may cause uncontrollable muscle movement) they show their findings in front of the industry owners and want to tell the consumer. But, theses scientist are bribed or forced into keeping there mouth closed while the findings are advertised in small fonts, explained in a soothing voice while a distraction is visually playing, or the speaker uses terms the average person will not know. Humans also aren't aware of the issues because when most citizens hear or read about saving the environment they ignore the issue because it is usually potrayed on films or televisions shows as something that is unnecessary or only concerning for vegetarians or vegans only. People also believe that they won't be alive long enough to be faced with the issues and that the environment can fix itself. But in reality, with the high level of fossil fuel emmisions it will result in major issues with our environmental and the ultimate death of our planet.
