Throughout history, there has been great military leaders come and go. Although, one of the most well-known conquerors is Alexander the Great. Many people thought he was a good leader and a good king. However, the people he conquered think otherwise. The people who supported him say he was compassionate towards others.
Despite Alexander not being politically great, society remembers him as great because of his military prowess
One of the greatest conquistadors in history was Alexander III of Macedon, also known as Alexander the Great. Behind his accomplishments of taking down the dominant Persia and the mighty Egypt, stands a leader who is confident, driven, a risk taker, a great communicator, and is both tactically and technically proficient. Alexander the Great is a prime example of the army’s definition of an adaptive leader. The young conqueror began his path to becoming a leader when he took over his father’s kingdom at the age of sixteen.
1. What were the differences between the reign of Paul I and the reign of Alexander I? Paul I receded from the coalition who were fighting Napoleon and this may be one of the starkest differences between Paul I and Alexander I as Alexander I reenlisted Russia into the efforts being made to fight Napoleon when he became czar. Additionally, Paul I ruled more like his father than his mother, Catherine, however, Alexander I determined and announced to rule like Catherine.
Another example was when Ender first received his army, he trained them like they never had been trained before (158). By coaching his army starting with the fundamentals, he helped them ameliorate their technique and helped them learn more than they ever knew before. Alexander of Macedon and Charlemagne of the Franks have been tagged as “the Great.” Alexander the Great during the fourth century transformed Greece from Hellenic to Hellenistic era. He was nicknamed as ‘the Great’ because of his conquests that made his empire become the largest in the ancient world. His empire was spread throughout Greece, Persia, and Egypt. Centuries later, a man named Charles the Great ruled France for 40 years.
This proved his worthiness to being ruler by justifying his abilities to provide for and protect his empire. Since the Romans did not like that title of king, “he received the title Augustus by decree of the senate.” During his reign, Caesar accomplish countless things, which is why he is still talked highly about to this day. He repaired the conduits of aqueducts, dozens of temples, and completed the Julian forum and the basilica. He did these things because, like Qin, he loved and truly cared about his empire and wanted to see it flourish and restored; not broken and destroyed.
As for long as war has been going on in the world the it’s the intuitive for leaders to tell their men to attack and think later, but that has gotten a lot of innocent men and women killed. Therefore, that can be changed by the new leaders of today. As who person who wants to be a leader and go into the potential field of civil affairs I must be able to understand what I am getting into, plus what I can do to make the a change in the way the military works and it’s tactics. I believe that it is truly important that now as evolving leaders that we pay attention to what how the military functions and the wrong decisions that they made as leaders that are leading the military. As before we should be absorbing and preparing ourselves to not make the same mistakes that leaders before us has made.
Another way Caesar and napoleon can be compared was their political mind. Caesar as well as Napoleon were both able to achieve vast political power as a result of being very politically savvy. Both realized that in order to take complete control of the government, you must have the support of the army which they had as a result of being generals. With the support of the army both future dictators enacted coup de tats. In the case of Caesar, after being fired from his position of governor of Gaul(modern day France), took the army which had been loyal to him, entered the Roman Senate building and took control of the Roman Republic.
In order to galvanize a large army, a leader must primarily be passionate and convinced in himself. These attributes surely describe Alexander the Great adequately. During

Alexander and his army were considered small compared to many of the other city states, but knew how to fight strategically.
