Movie review The movie The Outsiders was a story about two rival gangs and the friendships and tension between the members. This story was set around the late 1960’s, and based off of the novel by S.E. Hinton. The book was made into a movie in 1983 and the director was Francis Ford Coppola. The screenplay was made by Kathleen Rowell. This book had a very unique plot because there were a lot of twists in the story and there was a lot of events where the cause and effect of the choices made by the characters had a negative effect on each other. There was also some unexpected healing that happens between the two opposing groups because of the previous rivalry in the gangs. The actors in the outsiders were pretty fitting to the actors in the book. For example the characters in the book were physically portrayed as muscular and the actors had a lot of muscles. Also, the personalities were really similar. For example: Johnny was shy and skittish in the book and the actor fit the profile of the storyline Johnny. Dally was really strong and violent and had a short temper in the book and the actor that played him really captured his personality well. …show more content…
