In the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author gives a character, by the name of Nick, the power to portray the story through his view, only as a test to see if Nick acknowledges his honesty and dishonesty. The test shows us how we as humans react to other people with the same emotions that we are feeling about ourselves. In the book Nick say, “It made no difference to me. Dishonesty in a women is a thing you never blame deeply…. It started because she passed so close to some workmen that our fender flicked a button on one man’s coat. “You 're a rotten driver,” I protested.”(Fitzgerald61) Nick explains
