In Daisy MIller, written by Henry James, the lead girl, Daisy Miller, causes her own death through her own naivety, stubbornness, optimism and her own actions therefore lead her down the tragic path she inevitably follows. Daisy unknowingly made herself, the center of a lot of distaste among the other Americans simply because she was unaware of how men and women interact in Europe. These actions lead people to believe she is living an improper lifestyle.
