Artist have a unique way of getting messages of positivity around, some in paintings, poems, social media or in song. With protest songs, artist express their feelings towards worldwide issues to their audience but also to send awareness. First, In Cole’s song “Be Free,” explains the issue of police brutality towards the African Americans community.
Protest music was a reaction to social injustice, cultural change, and media events. In many cases, it brought awareness to younger generations who would then join the protests, in turn growing the movement. This genre wasn't necessarily specific to certain musicians, as many mainstream artists decided to contribute to the movement with their own feelings. For example, R&B and Soul singer Same Cooke composed and recorded "A Change Is Gonna Come" in 1963, a tune that became the anthem for the Civil Rights movement in the US, like others including Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" and James Brown's "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud" from 1963 and 1968.

Tupac Would also rap about how he grew up in a very hard society and he would rap about the hardships he went through.
In 1992, Tupac Shakur wrote a song titled “Changes” in response to injustice in black communities in America, and concerning the need for some serious changes to be made in order for life in these communities to get better. He directed this song towards black youth in an effort to persuade them to be the ones to propagate this change. The desperation, frustration, anger, and fear in this piece create a very distinct and powerful tone that proves effective in helping create rhetoric. Tupac uses his song as a vessel for a powerful piece of rhetoric. The first thing one notices when listening to this piece is the tone and diction it employs.
Hip Hop is seen as something inspiring, but most people see it as a way to speak out the truth about a problem. As in “Hip Hop planet” being able say the truth can sometimes worsen any situation because sometimes what we say can promote violence and whatever happens after is not in our control. The essay is about how hip hop has changed into speaking out the issues that need to be taken care of in order to maintain a proper society. McBride talked about how rappers use violent lyrics to degrade women and gays and because of this it shows how the music has evolved into something entirely different that no one would have ever expected to have changed. In James McBride's essay “Hip Hop Planet,” he argues that hip hop has a negative influence on American Culture despite people thinking of it as inspirational and how people live through different experiences in life despite of your race.

Ever since Grandmaster Flash Hip Hop has changed consistently over the years creating different forms of Hip Hop giving everyone a chance to find out what they enjoy. One form of Hip Hop in today’s world is based around the racial inequalities brought to you by a rapper who displays their people’s daily struggles around the globe and more specifically in America. An artist who uses his voice in the hip hop industry to voice the effects of mass incarceration on African Americans/Minorities as well as many other social issues is Vic Mensa. He is the most crucial social activist you’ve probably never heard of.
“What’s Going On” I believe protest music is any song that is associated with change or the defiance of a prior principle. It does not matter if the song or genre was written for the purpose of revolution or if the song is a rally cry or only meant to spread awareness, but if the lyrics and the feeling of the song invoke those ideas, it may be considered protest music. Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” was written about the Vietnam War, but people choose to interpret the song as a cry for civil rights. A song does not need to begin as socially aware to be considered a protest song because it’s about how it’s interpreted by others and used.

The flag protest has been a protest existing for a long time but, recently sparked lots of controversy. Although kneeling during the national anthem may seem disrespectful are often seen as a disrespect to the flag and troops, a inefficient way to promote a cause, and anger many people in shows division in the country, it can show that the ideals of freedom is justified, it generates conversation and awareness about topic, and is a legal form of peaceful protest.

These artists are unaware that sexism has been forced onto them through the brainwashing from the media, which is controlled by a patriarchal society. Conversely, feminism is the belief that both genders should have equal power.
I work at a college radio station currently to get high school credits, and the best way to get your message out in today's society is to have a voice. Whether it be like mine over the FM, or over the Facebook, peaceful protests are what keeps people from becoming outraged, furious and dangerous to those around them. When someone doesn't like something, they won't sit back and do nothing, they will complain, they will act out, and they will protest, and as being American citizens we have the right to do that, but we don't always go to the peaceful routes. Take in Ferguson Missouri for example. While the protests, and acts of rage were not due to that of a law, they were due to the act of hurt and pain for the loss of a community member, they still acted out.

Well, mayor, what happens when we run out of (coal, natural gas, oil, etc.)? I believe the Earth will then depend on nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is when two atoms are (joined together/protected by a fuse) together. The only problem is that it is still a very new type of energy with not much research.
