The first example is in Act 5, scene 8 when Mabeth learns that Macduff was not born of a woman. He curses him for telling him that and he blames the witches for their word games and raising his hopes then destroying them. Next, is Act 5 scene 5, when Macbeth is talking to Seyton and explains to him how he no longer fears the normal things that he once did. Because of his evil deeds he has done nothing can startle him now, in other words he has become numb. Lastly, in Act 3 scene 4.
Throughout the play, the witches’ control over Macbeth developed into a strong tie with his choices. By prophesying to him, the witches essentially planted the seed that grew to dominate Macbeth’s mind. This is shown when Macbeth says, “Stay you imperfect speakers, tell me more” (1.3.70). Once Macbeth notices the prophecies becoming a reality, he starts to think about becoming king, thus fulfilling all the prophecies. Aside, Macbeth says,, “Two truths are told, as happy prologues to the swelling act of the imperial theme” (1.3.128-129).
Act 4 Scene 1 in “Macbeth” is made such a memorable moment in the play by Shakespeare, as it demonstrates the uncontrollable nature of Macbeth's ambition, foreshadows the ending of the play and uses the supernatural to exploit the one weakness of Macbeth, soon to be his downfall. It is where Macbeth finds out that after all the people he has killed, his throne will be lost after him. The Witches are an evil supernatural force – their “strange intelligence” and ability to predict the future gives them power over humans. In Act 4 Scene 1 they are the first character we meet and their evil sets the scene for everything to come: thunder and lighting, an example of pathetic fallacy, suggest the havoc that Scotland is about to experience.
At the start of Act 1 Scene 3 in Macbeth,the Witches prepare for their first encounter with Macbeth. As they do so, they plot revenge against those who they believe have insulted them. *Scheming . Sooner on, the witches predict that Macbeth will be the future king.
The version of Macbeth Act 5 Scene 1 that was the most true to Shakespeare 's vision was the Kate Fleetwood version. The Kate Fleetwood version was more successful than the Judi Dench version due to the portrayal of Lady Macbeth and her downfall. In the Judi Dench version of Act 5 Scene 1 of Macbeth the tone is sad not crazy. As well as Lady Macbeth is portrayed as more sad than irrational/anxious and guilty.

This scene establishes that Macbeth is no longer the man he used to be he a ghost of his former self.
Whose horrid image doth unfix my hair/And make my seated/heart knock at my ribs,/Against the use of nature? Present fears/Are less than horrible imaginings” (1:3:130-143). In this aside, Macbeth is probing his mind because if the prophecy is a good thing, then why is he contemplating murdering Duncan? After the victory of Banquo and Macbeth against the king 's traitor Macdonwald the witches presence contract the vibe of manipulation seeking Macbeth as its next victim. As they encounter with Macbeth and Banquo, they start-off questioning the trio of leery ladies. "look not like the inhabitants of the earth, / And yet are on it"; they seem to understand him, and yet he cannot be sure; they "should be women," and yet they are bearded. One by one the witches told Macbeth his upcoming abundance of power leaving him immensely petrified. As a result the prophecies were the contemporary force plaguing Macbeth into slaughtering King Duncan for his aspiration.
Macbeth’s ambition is one of the most prominent things that drive Macbeth in the play and truly becomes evident when he hears of the Witches prophecies. When the witches stop talking, he demands to know more. “Stay you imperfect speakers, tell me more” (I, III, 73-74). This portrays his excessive curiosity on the subject as well as his craving for more desirable prophecies. This ambitious nature and craving for power is also demonstrated only moments after hearing the witches, when he starts formulating a plan to kill Duncan in order to make the third prophecy come true.

Love and marriage in his plays always ended miserably and symbolized as tragedies, or full of unnecessary disputes on trivial issues.
Act 2, scene 2 is quite an important scene in Macbeth, since it marks the changes of the characters, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Their thoughts and emotions are presented in this particular scene. It shows the different roles that they play and how much they have been influenced by the witches’ prophecies. Lady Macbeth claims to be courageous in the beginning of the scene, by saying ‘that which hath made them drunk made me bold’. She seems to be very keen about this murder and very confident, and the fact that she was alone on stage emphasises it.
Supernatural elements can be seen in Macbeth through the witches and their unusual powers. The witches appear to be helpful in giving Macbeth his prophecy, but in reality want only to stir up trouble and cause strife throughout the kingdom. Although Macbeth wants the witches to tell him his prophecy, he is also afraid to act on these newly found predictions for fear of the inevitable guilt he will then have to face. Macbeth states that the witches as "Instruments of darkness" in order to explain to readers that even though the witches appear to be helping Macbeth, in reality they are causing more harm than good and creating evil thoughts within the characters minds. Macbeth’s prophecy began his desire for power, which led to his struggle with guilt.
Before the main character has any part in the play the witches start it off in ominous mutterings about wicked acts and the future. The fear among the audience is set before Macbeth even thinks about killing anybody. Macbeth is then told by the witches about things that are supposed to happen in his future, and assuming they are telling the truth he believes them. Not only does he believe them but he himself commits acts that make them come true. This is another representation of how people believed they could be affected by witches.
Here, Macbeth is seen giving into Lady Macbeth’s persistency in murdering King Duncan. By declaring that he will “do all that may become a man,” Macbeth is also deciding to entrust himself and go down the path of free will. Given that Macbeth is showing hesitancy towards going through with the plan, readers can consequently see that his ambition has risen, yet not to extreme heights. As the play progresses, Macbeth reverts back to accepting the fate of the Three Witches. He visits them once more and demands that they predict his future, and the Weird Sisters prophesize: “laugh to scorn the power of a man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth” (IV.i.79-81), to which he responds with, “I’ll make assurance double sure and take a bond of fate” (IV.i.83-84).
