This is a prime example of racial segregation. Segregation was a huge problem in society because it caused tension and violence, which made one race feel inferior to another. In Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman, the world is divided into two races; the white noughts, and the black crosses. There are several examples of segregation related violence and tension in the novel.
In view of the south, segregation played a major role there. Separation really changed the life of the south even in education. All the schools were assumed to separate the colored and the non-colored. The separation system wasn’t as you as equal as you thought. For example; if they come a time where there is not enough money to build two schools, only the school for white children would be built.
Segregation has made a huge impact on how human beings of different races and religions are treated. Many historical events have showed how segregation and racism is wrong and selfish. Discrimination has caused many uproars and protests all over the country to protect all races.
