The novel Last Gamer Standing explains how discrimination is a major problem and how you still have the ability to succeed even when the odds are against you. The Little Free Libraries are provided to neighborhoods for children to read about a protagonist who is similar or completely different to them to help show them a new perspective or help them cope with a bad experience in their life. Last gamer standing provides heroic lessons because it was rated top 50 books on bullying, this proves that it(Amazon). Last gamer standing portrays how prominent bullying is while gaming,” sexism is a huge problem in the gaming community, and yet I’ve never read a gaming book that addressed it”, This shows how different this book is and how it addresses a problem many don't focus on(Quiet Pond). Additionally this book focuses on providing a windows book by showing the perspective of an asian american gamer girl who struggles with bullying solely because she's different from others(Amazon). Firstly, according to the 5th graders survey response about %48 of fifth graders prefer realistic fiction which is the genre of Last Gamer Standing. Fifth graders' enjoyment of the same genre as my novel may promote the reading of the book in the little free library because it is more interesting to the fifth graders. Most of the students that read in our school prefer to read about people in the same level of school as them(5th Grader Reading responses. The reliability of a student in this book may encourage reading because students tend to read more about someone who can relate to their life by being in school. A majority of the fifth graders who responded enjoy playing games in their free time. The fifth grade students that like playing video games to relax may take more interest in reading this book .
