The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a great play with an amazing plot. Romeo and Juliet are from two different families that hate each other. These two characters fall in love with each other but they have to keep it a secret. At one point in the play, Romeo kills Juliet's cousin Tybalt to avenge his friend Mercutio. For this, Romeo is exiled which means he has to leave Verona (the city they live in) and he can't see Juliet. Juliet (who has an arranged marriage) takes a potion that was given to her by a man named Friar Lawrence. The potion will make her fall into a death like sleep. Not only did he arrange Juliets marriage, but on line 31 of Act 3 scene 4, he shortens the time for their wedding day. Instead of waiting until she turned 14 on Lammas Eve at night, he schedules the wedding for next Thursday. Then from lines 166 to 175 of Act 3 scene 5, he starts losing it. He even threatened his wife. Had he not been so demanding, Juliet and Friar Lawrence would have had more time to think of a better plan or at least Romeo would have gotten the letter in time to know what was going on.
