Upon the arrival of Europeans in 1492, North America underwent major transformations. Prior to European contact, the continent had a vast amount of diversity, structuring the civilization of the numerous Native Tribes. Once Europeans arrived, the encounters between both began to shape the trajectory of North American History. North America had a completely different lifestyle before the arrival of Europeans. Societies ended up being faced with many issues due to European settlement forcing their identity on Native Americans. Major sources of conflict between Native Americans and Europeans rooted from the collision of land and European population growth, simultaneously, most conflicts resulted in war. Experience with European and Native American conflict is elucidated in the reading, Native Americans in Colonial America, “They resisted the efforts of the Europeans to gain more of their land and control through both warfare and diplomacy.
