As the second World War began, Allied Powers began to fear the strengths of Axis Powers, especially Germany. However, this fear rose dramatically among the Allied when Albert Einstein warned President Franklin Roosevelt that Nazi Germany was likely at work on creating a nuclear weapon. The Allied, concern that such weapons in the hands of Hitler could produce disaster for the world. Therefore, in 1942, America's attempt to plan and build an atomic bomb created the Manhattan Project. Manhattan Project eventually allowed US to create an atomic bomb, leading the Allied to the victory of World War II.
