The Industrial Revolution was a period of time where massive advancements were made in technology, economy, and manufacturing. There were major advancements being made between 1760 to 1840. There were hundreds of people who invented and innovated things throughout the revolution. Some include James Watt, Henry Bessemer, and Eli Whitney. James Watt improved the steam engine. He made a separate condenser and the parallel motion. This makes the engine more efficient, which makes the engine faster. This allowed more production of materials because businesses could get their materials quicker than they were able to before. The Bessemer process makes the production of steel quicker. This allowed buildings to be built faster because they could get their steel sooner and cheaper. The cotton gin allowed people to own more warm, cotton clothing because the clothes and blankets were cheaper and easier to make. Cotton gives people the ability to work in cold conditions for longer. It made production faster because people could work outside more of the year with the warm cotton.
