Cesar Chavez Cesar Chavez once said, “In some cases non-violence requires more militancy than violence.” Cesar Chavez was an American labor leader and civil rights activist. Cesar Chavez was born on March 31,1927. Cesar Chavez died on April 23, 1993. Juana estrada was Cesar's mom, Cesar's dad name was librado Chavez. Cesar chavez got married to Helen fábela chavez and had six kids with her. Cesar Chavez is a hero because he helped Immigrant workers get a better payment and life. Cesar Chavez is a hero because he helped organize migrant farm worker. In 1959, Cesar started an organizing agricultural workers into a labor union, which he wanted for a higher pay and better working conditions from their employers. He was inspired by Martin Luther king jr and Mahatma Gandhi. Cesar's religion and his devotion inspired his commitment to his nonviolent pursuit of social justice. Cesar did peaceful tactics such as boycotts and strikes. Cesar was most inspired by his deep spirituality. He didn't let anything get in his way from trying to stop him. Cesar Chavez lead many boycotts against grape growers. Cesar boycott was also termed as “The Delano Grape Strike and Boycott”. Chavez's ultimate goal was to overthrow farm labors system in the nation, which treated farm workers as if they were not important human beings. In 1965, Cesar and the grape workers went on strike damping better payment. He achieved this goal and the grape workers were amazed that Caesar did not give up until he got what he wanted Cesar Chavez is a hero because he wanted to achieve a better life for immigrants and for them to get a better payment.
