Did the EU’s goal of shared peace between lots of different cultures and people work out? The European Union, also known as the EU is a supranational organization that consists of 28 different countries. The EU was made to bring together countries that were torn apart by the war and to create peace between those countries. The EU works toward shared goals and issues yet remain separate countries all the same. The benefits of being a member in the European Union does not outweigh the costs due to loss of sovereignty, social unrest and peace, economic issues, and cultural identity with the diversity of languages and cultures.
The original political parties in America differed on their views of allying with the British or the French. The Federalists wanted to ally the British monarchy, yet the Democratic-Republicans wanted to ally with the French. The Federalist party aspired to ally with Great Britain for because of its extreme stability. The Democratic-Republicans hoped for an ally with France because of the party’s previous positive relations and their support of the French Revolution.
The European countries founded colonies in the Americas because they could buy cheap resources from their colonies, the colonies would serve as captive markets, and they could collect taxes from the colonists. Colonies were only allowed to trade resources with their mother country and their mother country wanted to buy resources as cheaply as possible. This meant that the colonists had to sell resources to their mother country at low prices even if they could sell their resources for more elsewhere. After buying resources from their colonies, the mother country would make refined goods to sell back to their colonies at a high price with a large profit. The colony would have to buy the goods from their mother country because they could not buy from anyone else, thus creating captive markets.

Some of the benefits a of the crusades can be a positive but mostly negative. The way that the Union has affected my life is by giving my father improved and safe working conditions, improving the hours they work, and giving them higher wages than non-union workers. With my dad being a part of the Union he is able to provide our family with our health insurance that is needed for our family. They also give my dad a safe place to go to work so he can come home to us after work every night. One other thing that helps me and affects me is the wages he gets from the Union without these wages we would not be able to survive or function in society. This is the most important thing that I am most thankful for the Union is that they give my father the wages that are needed to provide for our family.

After the end of World War 1 in 1918, the US declared a policy of isolationism. Isolationism is a policy of non-involvement in other countries conflicts and politics and specifically for the US, non-involvement in European affairs. The US implemented this policy by denying the Treaty of Versailles in a vote of 39 to 55 in the Senate and consequently, did not join the League of Nations. This policy brought with it both positive and negative effects on the US. One positive effect is with isolation, the US can avoid the costs of dealing with conflicts in Europe and can avoid the negative effects on citizens.

Globalization has its bad sides but is not all bad, it has lead to a greater trade network between countries and has saved lives by spreading information, medicine, clean water and food.
