1. What has motivated you to pursue higher education?
There’s nothing like it. The knowledge gained, the experience acquired, and the pride reinforced by all of the accomplishments completed. College. In order to become reach my goals, I need to go through a multitude of years of schooling. I love school and want to become a pediatric surgeon. My motivation is my family. Coming from Nigeria more than twenty-five years ago, their struggle was solely to provide a better life for my three brothers and I. I need to make them proud. It’s amazing that I can do this while bring happy, myself. That being said, I, indeed, feel that my destiny is to pursue higher education to get to my desired goals: a career as a pediatric surgeon while owning and operating my own practice, and making my family proud.
2. Why did you choose your major or course of study?

I am double majoring in Biology and Economics with a double minor in Spanish and Chemistry. Though I do not have to be a science major to gain admittance into medical school, a strong foundation in the sciences, especially the sciences I love, will give me a strong foot forward. In order to open my own practice, I will need to have a formidable foundation in business and finance. Economics gives me a mixture of both. In America, being bilingual is smiled upon.
