1. What rules and rituals shape classroom life?
The students are not allowed to make fun of each other, they are not allowed to say that things are too easy, or that it’s too hard for them and don’t want to try anymore. This has helped the classroom a positive learning environment, this has help the students participate more.
A. How does the day begin?
The day begins with the students taking out their Math homework and math books. Twice a week the students will start their day by going to the computer lab and working on a program that helps them with math in whichever grade level they score in.
B. What does the teacher do?
The teacher collects the homework. She will go over some homework problems if anyone had questions. She then has the students work on …show more content…

The teacher will tell the students to take out their math book and homework. However some of the students will already have it in their books before she tells them to. Whenever the teacher finishes giving examples the students work with their groups. When the students are in the computer lab they go onto a computer and login into their accounts. Sometimes a computer will not be working, or they have a hard time logging in so they raise their hands and the teacher goes and tries to help them. If the teacher doesn’t know what is wrong she will tell the student to try another computer.
• B) How does this information affect teaching & learning?
This information can affect teaching and learning because the students know what to expect since they do this everyday. If the students didn’t know what to do then it would take away time from the teacher teaching.

It is important to set up a routine, not only because it can help the students have a “sense of stability” but it can also create “smoother transitions” between different assignments (Sadker 325).
