The Montgomery Bus boycott was a big event in the late 50’s. It was when a large group of African Americans decided that they weren’t going to ride the bus if they had to sit in the back or give their seat to white people if they didn’t have a seat. This event separated the country into two sides one that supported segregation and the other that was against it. I believe the reason it succeeded was because of the determination and support they all had. Martin Luther King wasn’t the leader of this but he led a walk kind of like the bus boycott.
