Research was done at Whataburger to understand the company better and allow an informed decision of the benefits of working for the company. Whataburger is a staple of Texas culture. This is not only because it was created here but also because it upholds Texas standards of being large or “Texas sized’ and made with the best quality products (“Our History”,2022). This fast-food restaurant also provides a community that will lend a helping hand to workers and their families and is rated highly by their workers (“Whataburger competitors”, n.d.). With a rich history, great community, lots of competition to keep the fire going and the recent expansion Whataburger could prove to be a very fulfilling and lucrative business to invest time and money into.

Although Whataburger is loved in Texas it still competes against all other fast-food chains in the market and has a harder competition in out of state markets. Some of Whataburger’s biggest competitors are In-N-Out burger, Five Guys, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, and Chik-fil-A (“Whataburger Competitors”, n.d.).
They do not compete only in financial revenue but also in areas where the public judges them like customer service, pricing, Product Quality, and Culture (“Whataburger Competitors”, n.d.). Among all these categories Whataburger continues to stay within the top five as shown in Figure 1. Although they are not ranked as high as some of the other competitors they still rank highly and Whataburger’s CEO ranks 4th out of the six mentioned restaurants (“Whataburger Competitors”, n.d.).
