The husband clipped the article and sent it to his father, saying: “Dad, maybe we can do something about this.” This is where he displays his intellectual empathy. As far as visionary, he motivates me to want to be that inspirational motivating leader to better my organization. His drive to endure the hardship and the “bumps in the road” to fully realize his vision is something I would like to emulate. Sometimes I find myself coming up with goals only to get distracted by other things and not really putting the focus where it should be. Also, his use of contingent rewards is something that is commonplace for me. I am a big proponent of rewarding my subordinates that have performed exceptionally.
