As more and more technology comes out, there has been a rise in cyberbullying around schools and at home. There's still more bullying that happens at school than online. ( patchin,7)while cyberbullying is in some sense easier to perpetrate, the kids who bully online also tend to bully at school. (Patchin, 9)In the story When Bullying Goes High Tech by Elizabeth Landau it says “as many as 25% of teenagers have experienced cyberbullying at some point.” (Patchin, 5) Out of 15,000 students in middle to high school only 10% have been bullied in the past 30 days. Only 85% of people that get cyberbullied know who it is. There are a lot of differences between cyberbullying and face-to-face bullying. The next thing you can do is block or unfriend them. This will work really well because it makes it so the person can never talk to you. Another way is to report them. A lot of apps will be able to report someone and that helps a lot. Sometimes telling them to stop won't work and they keep going and if you block or unfriend them they will create a new account and keep bullying you and if the app you're using doesn't have a way to report someone you should tell a trusted adult. Telling a trusted adult will help alot, yes it might be hard to tell an adult because they might take you online or make you delete the app but they are just trying to help you so it’s a good idea to tell a trusted adult. These are some good ways to help prevent or stop cyberbullying at home or in the community.Yes, most cyberbullying happens outside of school but sometimes it can happen inside of school.Bullying can threaten students’ physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to
